Irish Champion target for Loch
Loch Long eighth in the Irish Derby, has the Irish Champion Stakes on his agenda following a battling success in the Sligo Park Hotel Race.
Pat Shanahan got a good tune from the 7/4jf as he duelled with Final Approach down the straight.
The winner runs in the colours of Thistle Bloodstock Limited, owned by Dubai based County Kilkenny breeder Jimmy Long.
"Mr Long wants him to run in the Irish Champion Stakes and that will be his next race," said trainer Tracey Collins.
