Inis Ceithleann Doubles up Quickly
Inis Ceithleann (the Irish word for Enniskillen) achieved the most praiseworthy double of a Downpatrick win on a Tuesday and a Killarney win two days later when Barry Geraghty got her up by half a length in the Killarney Grand Live Music Venue Handicap Hurdle.
The daughter of Desert Sun who scored in the North by an easy seven lengths was put up 10Ib in the ratings for that win but with a mandatory six pound penalty to shoulder here she mastered Fly To Dubai close home.
Owned and bred by Joe Crozier who has the Railway Bar in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, Inis Ceithleann has been on the go since August 2006 and this was her second career win.
Successful trainer, Peter Casey wasn't in attendance.
