Time To Reason made virtually all for Denis Linehan to take the spoils in the seven furlong handicap at Fairyhouse.
Linehan soon had him to the fore and the pair went for home over two furlongs out. Time To Reason was soon ridden clear and comfortably delivered by two and a half lengths at 4/1. Indrahar on her first start for 256 days, kept on for second at 6/1.
The 5/2 joint favourites, Arch Sting and Camellia Japonica finished third and last of the seven respectively.
Trainer Johnny Murtagh said: "He's not a flashy worker but when it comes to the racecourse he has been different. He's progressive and an improving horse.
"The 7lb claim was a big help."
Time To Reason was following up on a victory in a course and distance maiden at the end of June.
