Jessica Harrington has her Flat team in tremendous form at present and the Commonstown trainer could well be on the mark again with Punita Arora in the featured Foran Equine Irish EBF Fillies Auction Maiden at Navan today.
Mrs Harrington has enjoyed a dream run with her juvenile fillies in recent weeks, including a Group Two success with Albigna as well as other exciting types like Windracer and Cayenne Pepper.
Cool Vixen led home a one-two for the Moone yard in another Foran Equine-sponsored Auction Maiden at Naas last Saturday, and Punita Arora now makes a quick reappearance in a bid to go one better.
The daughter of Sepoy travelled really well on that occasion and should be suited by this drop back to the minimum trip. Leo De Fury could be another winner for Harrington and stable jockey Shane Foley in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race.
The Australia colt made a striking impression when scoring by all of five lengths on debut at the Curragh just over a fortnight ago, and faces just two rivals with Jack Yeats and Kaftan the only others lining up over 10 furlongs.
Gavin Cromwell is another trainer well worth following at present, and he could land both divisions of the Come Racing September 7th Handicap. Ally Cay beat fellow 16-1 chance Finsceal Rose at Bellewstown recently and the pair won’t be anything like those odds when contesting separate divisions of the 10-furlong handicap.
Joseph O’Brien is another trainer that rarely leaves empty-handed these days, and he can team up with younger brother Donnacha to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden with Alligator Alley
