In form pair Gavin Cromwell and Andrew Slattery combined for success with bottom-weight Innamorare (12/1) in the Tote Handicap at Leopardstown.
It’s now two wins from three starts since Innamorare joined current connections and Slattery donned owner Peter Michael’s silks on the Intense Focus three-year-old.
Jim Bolger trained Intense Focus in his racing days, and the Coolcullen maestro supplied the second here, Dream Of Words
Willie Byrne’s mount ran well, but not well enough to cope with Innamorare, who prevailed by a neck.
"She has won around here a couple of times and it was an obvious race for her," said Cromwell.
"It was a step up in class. She only just wins but it's a nice way to do it. She will go for more of the same and hopefully the handicapper is not too hard on her again."
D.P. Linehan, rider of Top Notch Tonto trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked turning into the straight.
C.P. Hoban, rider of Shatharaat trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.
