Supreme Vic took advantage of her low mark over fences, as she ran out an easy winner of the Dawn Milk Run Handicap Chase.
Rated twenty-three pounds higher over hurdles, the Norman Lee trained ten-year-old was available at a generous 7/1 last night.
That price didn't last long, and she eventually went off the clear 5/2 favourite on her first handicap start over fences.
Mid-division in the early stages, she did well to avoid Old Supporter who fell at the first and brought down Trust No One
She soon improved to track the leaders and jumped in to a dispute of the lead at the third last. The three times hurdle winner hit the front after the next, and drew clear on the run-in, going on to score by five lengths under Jack Kennedy. Galboystown Lady (7/1) finished second under Andrew Lynch for Aidan Howard, while Castle Fall's (16's to 12's) was a length back in third under Mikey Fogarty for Daniel O'Leary.
Norman Lee trains the winner for Paul Mullins, and the winner handler said afterwards: "I'm delighted and it is gamble landed as we had a good few quid on her. She was 'thrown in' over fences and she jumped like a stag.
"She'll run again on Sunday under her penalty and is in foal to Rock Of Gibraltar and has until the end of August to race."
