We hadn't seen Dundalk specialist Indian Landing since November 12th but the gambled-on favourite returned to land his third victory at the Dowdallshill venue when scoring under Mick Hussey in the Dundalk - Light Up Your Night Handicap.
Now a five time winner overall, Herb Stanley's seven-year-old, backed in from around 11/4 this morning into 7/4, convincingly got the better of second market choice, Twistsandturns by a length and a quarter.
"That's a great start. I had this race mapped out for him a while ago due to the conditions and because he needs a good break between his races.
"I booked Michael a month ago to ride and he gave him a beautiful ride so I'm delighted," said winning trainer Tracey Collins.
"He's a funny horse. He likes to be the boss and be in control so the way the race was run suited.
"He's getting on and some days he turns up and some days he doesn't. Thankfully today he did." (GC & EM)
