In From The Cold has been one of the busiest juveniles this season and gained reward when recording his second win of the campaign in the Membership At Naas Nursery to complete a 31/1 double on the day for rider Chris Hayes.
The Mick Mulvany-trained gelding began his career here in the opening race of the turf season back in March and, having won a Nursery at Sligo in August, doubled his account on this his 13th start.
Hayes, successful earlier on the card aboard Elusive King sent the well-backed 3/1 chance to the front well over a furlong out and held off the challenge of Love Locket by half a length.
Waterville Lady was nearly five lengths further back in third.
Mulvany said, “He’s been very consistent and was out the first day of the season and again today (on the final day).
“He kept improving from the time we gelded him. He deserved that and was honest on his last couple of runs. Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards but he won’t be going to Dundalk.”
