Ballydoyle’s Amalfi Coast (10/11) got off the mark at the third time of asking in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden at Cork.
Seamie Heffernan did the steering on the Showcasing colt and they made all. Ridden two furlongs out, the juvenile was strongly pressed inside the final furlong.
Amalfi Coast was all out close home to contain promising newcomer Diamant Damhsa by a head.
"It was amazing, it was his third run and he was still a little green. He had two very good runs, he is improving so I'm happy. He was a little green,” said Heffernan.
