Trainer Andy Oliver registered his fifth winner of the season when his Imaginationrunwild improved one placing on her debut at The Curragh last month, taking the Barclay Landline EBF Fillies Maiden at Down Royal today in style.
Ridden by Gary Carroll, the winner was badly drawn in 12 but was soon tracking the leaders, albeit on the outer. Carroll moved the daughter of Red Clubs to lead a furlong and a half out before staying on well for a comfortable win over Balrath Hope
Oliver later stated “we always liked Imaginationrunwild – she had shown us a bit at home and ran a very nice race at The Curragh. We were very hopeful today but with fillies you never know because it was a different track today and the ground was also different.
“I must compliment Down Royal tonight as the track is in super shape. Gary (Carroll) gave her a great ride and produced her at the right time. We'll see what the handicapper does next.”
