Ice Cold Soul showed himself to be a horse of promise as he tanked along in the bumper before putting his rivals to the sword for a comprehensive victory.
Finny Maguire was up on the Stowaway gelding and he evidently had plenty of horse to work with as he travelled in third with three furlongs to race.
He passed the two pole on the bit and soon moved up to join Prickly before quickening away from that rival inside the final furlong.
The winning distance for the 9/10 favourite was recorded at four and three quarter lengths. Mall Dini (7/1) got up to deprive Prickly for second by half a length.
Ice Cold Soul has yet to experience defeat. He won his point-to-point at Belclare in March 2014 by eight lengths before winning a Cork bumper back in October by a length and three parts.
