Hurricane hits Roscommon
The opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Roscommon today went to the Jim Bolger trained newcomer Hurricane Hovac, under stable jockey Kevin Manning.
The daughter of Hurricane Run missed the break but displayed plenty of pace in the straight to wear down her rivals, eventually getting to the front a furlong out before recording a two and a half lengths win over Nucals Star
Bolger was not present but Manning did subsequently report “Hurricane Havoc is a nice filly and did it nicely. Hopefully she’ll improve further and should step up to a mile without any difficulty.”
