Hujaylea keeps improving
Michael Halford was delighted with his seven-year-old "improver" Hujaylea who took the Whitney Moore Trophy race over seven furlongs at the Curragh under a fine ride from Conor Hoban.
Hujaylea was returned at 13/2 and won by half a length from joint favourite Luisant
Halford said: "It is unusal for a horse of that age to improve to that extent. I though Conor rode him very well. There is no stopping the horse.
"There is a listed race at Cork over a mile - the Navigation Stakes - which I'll aim for next and then he might winter in Dubai for a bit of sun on his back."
