Hugo takes opener at Punchestown
Hugo de Vindency justified his short price after he ran out a convincing winner of the Events @ Punchestown Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown today for trainer Jessie Harrington.
The Robin Des Champs French bred gelding hit the front shortly after jumping the second last flight in the hands of Barry Geraghty and stayed on well to record a nine length win over Start Me Up
Winning trainer Harrington said afterwards: “He did it well. Barry said that the ground is very very heavy.”
“We might bring him to Limerick over the Christmas or we might wait for a bit longer with him.”
