Hughes in double form
Shirley Casper broke her maiden status over hurdles when winning The Irish Stallions EBF Maiden Hurdle under Barry Geraghty making it an across the card double for trainer Dessie Hughes who also won the first race at Clonmel with Superior Ben
Hughes said afterwards, "She wants good ground, she finished well on both of her last two runs in the straight when she got the better ground. I'd like to see her go over to Cheltenham for the Mares Hurdle. She wants 2 ? miles."
