House rules at Roscommon
Jockey Andrew Lynch, who recently returned from injury, partnered his fourth winner in five days when steering 4/9 favourite House Rules to make all in the All Creatures Veterinary Novice Hurdle at Roscommon today.
Afterwards winning trainer Henry De Bromhead said “that was good, he jumped great and Andrew was delighted with him.
“We were a little worried about making the running today as he made the running on his first run this summer, when Ruby rode him at Punchestown, and he didn’t jump great then but he was probably green.
“He’s in at Gowran on Saturday in a two miles handicap but I’ve a few horses going to Cheltenham in October and there’s a two miles novice chase there and that could be the more realistic target.
“He disappointed at Killarney in a beginners chase when he winged fences until the third last fence when he got tired and stopped. A few of mine were running badly then and I still dint know why.”
Regarding his stable stars, De Bromhead added “Sizing Europe is in great form ahead of his run at Gowran on Saturday. He has done more this year than last year but he will certainly improve from the run. Loosen My Load was brilliant at the weekend and seems to have come out of it well.”
