About You provided Michael Hourigan with his second success of the current campaign, as she took the Summer Party Discount Group Booking Handicap Hurdle.

Hourigan had just two winners throughout last season, but has already matched that tally, having also scored with Humm Baby at Sligo last month.

About You, who was successful in a point-to-point in May of last year, went down by just three parts of a length on her penultimate start at Limerick over Christmas.

She disappointed on her return to action at Tipperary last month, and went off at 16/1 this evening with Danny Mullins in the saddle.

Settled in mid-division on the outer, the daughter of Wareed was eleventh with a circuit to race.

She took closer order from two out , and was ridden to challenge in fourth on the approach to the last, hitting the front on the run-in, before going on to prevail by half a length.

The 4/1 favourite Running In Heels finished second under Andrew Lynch for Gavin Cromwell, while The Church Gate (13/2) was four and quarter lengths back in third.

"We have a handful of horses and we're doing alright. I'm as happy as the proverbial pig doing what I'm doing and that's very important as I'm 56 years at it now," said Hourigan.

"I fancied her going to Tipperary but we arrived there and it was a bog. Danny said she just loves that ground and she won a point-to-point on good ground.

"She got beat in Limerick on soft ground, a slower gallop suits her on soft ground.

"She's a half-sister to that good horse we had, What's Happening. He's won twice in Cheltenham for Tom George.

"She won a point and chasing will be her forte.

"I gave my nephew the mare a couple of years ago to give him half an interest and she's bred two winners now.

"A lot of mares never breed a winner and she was only a bit of a mare and was no good herself. She kept her genes for the others."

STEWARDS REPORTS

R.C. Colgan, rider of In Our Blood trained by Neil McKnight, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

The Stewards requested a report from Michael Hourigan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of About You, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Michael Hourigan reported that his charge didn't get the ground he expected on his previous run in Tipperary, and that today's better ground conditions along with the first time application of cheekpieces aided his charge today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Rochelle Murphy, rider of War Of The Pennys trained by Donald Cashman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount was slow to race early on.
