Hero Of The Hour just lasted home in a thrilling finish to the first division of the six-furlong handicap to record back-to-back successes at the venue.
George Kingston 's was produced to challenge a furlong-and-a-half from home by Chris Hayes but went left away from the whip at the furlong pole.
The Lord Kanaloa gelding soon gained a narrow advantage, however, and just held that lead late on as Tynamite pressed hard to get within a nose at the line.
Hero Of The Hour, a well-supported 11/4 favourite (from 6/1), had opened his account over course and distance late last month.
Kingston said: "It is great. We just gave this fella a spin on the beach and he was well, and then I gave him a spin on Skyrne gallops and he felt as good as he was on Monday morning.
"I just threw Chris up there and thankfully he won. He was clever enough and he dropped back further. He didn't win too far and he needs the blinkers.
"He's a nice horse if everything is right. He works well and he is a good horse. I would assume he will be up here again soon, I haven't looked any further."
