Hot Or What scores for the Berrys
John Berry had the unfortunate experience of losing a winner for weighing in light at Clonmel (Pretty Happy back in December) but the Wexford handler enjoyed better fortune at Powerstown Park today courtesy of Hot Or What s success under Mikey Fogarty in the Suir (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle.
The daughter of Bob's Return arrived with her challenge going well and she was ultimately three lengths too good for Matchbook (John Murphy's second runner-up in as many races).
Berry explained: "She has a good old pedigree. We sold Curry Lunch to Harry de Bromhead years back and we bought this one back as a yearling so that we could get back into the family. My father Seamie owns her and it will be a great boost to him as he is sick."
