The Gerry Stack trained Hilary claimed a fourth career win in the Family Fun Day June 21st At Gowran Park Handicap at Gowran today, winning under 18 year old apprentice jockey Daniel Redmond.
The eight year old daughter of Hawk Wing made good headway to lead a furlong and a half from home and from there ran out an easy four and a half lengths winner from Like A Prayer
Stack previously credited some of Jim Bolger's staff with the riding out of the mare and Redmond was the third Bolger-based apprentice to win on Hilary, following Dylan Robinson and Killian Hennessy's previous successes.
Redmond today stated "I knew early in the straight that the gap would appear, and she was well able to take it as she hugged the rail.
"She was fresh and well and the race was there for the taking and she kept on well."
