Boru Boy kept on best to readily deliver in Cork's three mile handicap hurdle.
The eight-year-old gelding was rousted along on the outer as he chased the leaders coming to the third last.
However, he kept finding for jockey Brian Hayes and was ridden into a narrow lead upon jumping the last. There was plenty in the tank as forged on home to win by two and a quarter lengths at 7/1. There You Go the 3/1 favourite, was beaten into second. Admiral Brian (12/1) and Nobody Home (14/1) rewarded their each-way backers in third and fourth.
Handler Ger Murphy said: "It's been a lucky place to come for him and that's two wins from two runs here.
"He is good and we have him as a sport horse. We'll see what way the ground is but could give him another couple of runs over hurdles before eventually going chasing."
Hayes doubled up on Boru Boy after booting home Conduct Yourself (25/1) in race six.
