Hayes on the mark with Chibcha
The Kevin Prendergast trained Chibcha ran out the narrow, last gasp winner of Shannon Fillies Handicap at Limerick today, providing jockey Chris Hayes with his fourth win of the new season.
The daughter of High Chaparral looked to have plenty to do early on, having missed the break but managed to progress on the outer, eventually hitting the front close home for a head win over Dash Back
Prendergast was absent but owner Lady O'Reilly's racing manager James Kelly did state "Chibcha is a funny filly and the plan was to miss the break and try to trick her into it."
