Jockey Chris Hayes completed a double at Dundalk today as he steered the Aidan Howard trained, Love Thy Neighbour Syndicate owned Lily Lily Rose to win the second division of the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Handicap.
The three year old daughter of Intikhab was today scoring against older horses at the tenth career attempt when beating Suntory Times by a neck.
Afterwards trainer Howard said “the last day Chris said she took a blow in the Curragh, so we fancied her coming here today and she’s done it nicely.
“I’ve her in again on Friday but I don’t think we’ll be coming back that soon. I can’t see the handicapper being too hard on her, so I’ll give her a couple of weeks and freshen her up again. We’ll probably come back for something similar.”
