Chris Hayes is enjoying a fine start to his evening at Dundalk this evening and the jockey brought up an opening races double in the Hen & Stag Packages At Dundalk Stadium Handicap, when steering Have A Great Day (5/4f) to win for trainer Andy Oliver.
The son of Kodiac overcame a year long layoff to win a maiden at the venue last week and followed up this evening in handicap company, beating Chillie Billie by a comfortable length.
Afterwards Oliver stated "I'm very happy and Chris gave him a nice ride.
"He'll keep to handicap company and enjoys it here so we'll see what's coming up. It looks like he'll get seven (furlongs) and there is a seven-furlong race next week but that might be asking a bit much to have three quick runs.
"It looks like he gets every yard of that and should get seven here."
