Hatton does it again at Tramore
Thirty five minutes on from Sebadee s win (a former course winner), another course specialist, Hatton's Wood in a distinctive purple bridle, made all under Andrew Thornton in the Saltan Properties Handicap Chase to score by a comfortable eight lengths.
Sebadee's stable companion, Whatsabillion (clinically abnormal post race) was bidding to give John Murphy and Eddie Power a treble but he was done for after a mistake four out (eventually pulled up). Hatton's Wood, a winner here on his last start back in October, went on from three out to beat Rathnaskillogue
Winning trainer, Philip Redmond (saddling his second winner in a row following on from Florida Express in Cork on Easter Sunday) said: "He is the only outside horse I have and he is owned by my neighbour, Chris (also bred him). He loves that ground. The bridle he wore was brought in by his groom, who is French, because it goes with the purple stars on his silks."
Meanwhile owner Chris Hatton quipped: "We'll keep him in that bridle now, it must be lucky."
