Hassett/Maguire complete Thurles double
Trainer Adrian Maguire and jockey Shane Hassett enjoyed a good day when the pair recorded a double after Whats Up Gorden landed the Bawntameena Novice Handicap Chase.
The son of Saddlers' Hall was produced with a well timed challenge to lead before the final flight, staying on well for a three length win over Chasers Chance
Winning trainer Maguire stated afterwards: "I'm thrilled with that performance and he wants decent ground."
"We'll still stick to good staying handicaps for him. He's a lovely horse and he's always shown us plenty at home."
The pairs earlier winner came with Let Yourself Go after he landed the Cashel Steeplechase.
