Harty wins opener at Navan

Sun 17th May 2009, 14:39

The opening race this afternoon at Navan, The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden was won by the Eddie Harty trained Corcovada ridden by Colm O'Donoghue and owned by the Cole Family Syndicate.

Harty said afterwards, "This filly is owned by my in-laws and she has done her job now. We will probably stick her in Marlborough Hill at The Curragh and have a look, it may cut up well with the heavy ground. We will see how she progresses and we might go for a nursery later in the year."

Harty also revealed, "She is a close relation to Baron De'l and he will go for the Wolferton at Ascot."
