Tipped Up Harry made the long journey from Limerick to Navan worthwhile for his jockey Robbie Power as he ran out an easy winner of the www.navanracecourse.ie Handicap Chase.
Power, who rode in first two races at Limerick, was also aboard Tipped Up Harry when he unseated two out when looking set for victory on his last start at Clonmel.
The Denise 'Sneezy' Foster trained ten-year-old was sent off the 5/1 favourite today and he was settled towards rear.
He made good headway from the fourth last and cruised through to lead after two out, soon going clear, keeping on well on the run-in to score easily by five lengths. Waltz Legend (20/1) kept on well to take second under Martin Ferris for Liam Lennon, while Chestnut Charlie (8/1) was a further length and a half back in third under Robbie Colgan for Peter Maher.
Foster said afterwards: "He's had a wind op and it's made a huge difference to him. I think he could have won a lot more if he'd had it done earlier. He loves passing horses.
"His owner Jules Sigler is from Canada but comes to Punchestown every year, and it would be fantastic if there was something for him there."
