Trainer Jessica Harrington and jockey Shane Foley combined for their latest win at the Curragh today as Dickiedooda won the Tally-Ho Stud Irish EBF (Fillies) Maiden, a race which was confined to newcomers.
The daughter of Starspangledbanner was well supported to succeed, opened 9/2 this morning and 100/30 at the opening show before returning the 5/2 favourite and scoring a length and a quarter win over Grammata
Harrington and Foley bagged the concluding Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes at the Kildare venue yesterday with Leo De Fury. Dickiedooda's win the moved their scores this week to nine wins for trainer Harrington and ten for jockey Foley, who later spoke emotionally about a friend who is currently very sick.
Harrington was represented by her daughter Kate Harrington who later said “you'd have to be delighted with that. A few of our two-year-olds have been a little disappointing over the last few days but that's great.
“We're really happy with her, she's very uncomplicated, and she was well bought as she was only £30,000. She's a lovely filly.”
