Just a head and a nose covered the first three home in the Racing Again On Saturday 25th April Maiden and it was the Jessica Harrington-trained and Fran Berry-ridden Neverushacon that edged it at Limerick.
Racing in the colours of Mrs Harrington's son-in-law Richie Galway, the Echo Of Light gelding drifted slightly left under pressure in the last hundred yards but still narrowly got the better of Ceylon and the finisher, Awesome Star (slightly impeded).
"We decided to make plenty use of him as that is his minimum trip (an extended mile and three)," said Mrs Harrington.
"His best run last season was over two miles and he'll go hurdling after May 1 (in the new season). His next run may be in a flat handicap over a mile and six." (TW & EM)
