4/1 joint favourite Bellabel was a smooth-travelling winner of the Naas Racecourse Business Club Nursery to complete a double for Jessica Harrington.
The Belardo filly, third on handicap debut at Killarney last month, was settled in mid-division by Scott McCullagh and made headway on the bridle in the straight. After striking the front inside the final furlong, the winner was pushed clear to beat the staying-on Inchiquin Castle by two and a half a lengths. Walking On Clouds came in third with the other joint-favourite Mumayaz completing the frame.
Like the stable’s earlier winner Sablonne the winner was sporting first-time cheekpieces.
The winner is owned by the It’s All About The Girls syndicate.
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington commented: “The Girls have been very lucky here and that’s the third winner they have had at Naas. They have two horses every year and they have been very lucky.
“They’ve had two winners this year as Tut Tut also won at Leopardstown. The sales are coming again and they will go for another couple for next year.
“She gets that mile very well. She’s a very big filly and is only a frame now.”
