Happy Days for Hotel
Days Hotel ran out a convincing winner of the Lisronagh Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.
Andrew Lynch sent his mount to the front before the straight and he had the race in safe keeping from the second last.
2/1 favourite Pickapocketortwo tried to throw down a challenge approaching the penultimate flight but soon cried enough.
Henry de Bromhead's charge kept on strongly in front and just needed to be shaken up to post a comfortable 14-length victory.
The winner had run well on his last start when making much of the running at Punchestown and confirmed himself as a progressive type with today's victory.
"I've always liked him at home but he's had a few disappointing runs," said de Bromhead.
"He relishes two miles and was fairly impressive today.
"I've been thinking about sending him chasing all the time but he'll go for a novice hurdle in a few weeks and we'll save his novice chase status until May."
The gelding is a half-brother to Grade One winning hurdler Travino.
