Hanlon's Camlann lands a gamble

The John ‘Shark’ Hanlon trained Camlann was the well backed winner (14/1 - 8/1) of the Coral.ie Best Price Guaranteed On All Irish And UK Races Handicap at Fairyhouse today, winning under capable apprentice jockey Donagh O’Connor.
The son of Cape Cross was today shedding his maiden tag on his ‘lucky 13th’ start, having previously failed to finish in the first three in 12 runs.
Following the win, Hanlon stated “he was sixth in his first run in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham but has been disappointing since. The little cut in the ground was a big help, and I'd say he will be heading to Galway."
