Hand defies 365 day absence at Tramore
Trainer Andy Slattery produced Blank Hand under amateur rider Roger Quinlan, in fine fettle to win the Newtown Handicap Chase on his first run for exactly one year.
The son of Oscar stretched clear of his rivals from two out, staying on well for a ten length win over Springmount
Afterwards Slattery reported “Blank Hand got hurt in this race last year and while he had been off for so long, I thought I had him as fit as I could without a run. He wants three miles and will go for something similar next.”
