Apprentice jockey Gary Halpin maintained his 100% for John Oxx and on the Oxx trained Rayna (7/4f) when the filly followed up last Thursday's Leopardstown win with another, in the Ross Golf Course Handicap at Killarney today.
The daughter of Selkirk provided Halpin, apprenticed to trainer Kevin Prendergast, with a winning first ride for Oxx last Thursday and, under a fixed five pounds penalty today, held off the late challenge of Unchartered Watered by a neck.
Oxx wasn't present for the win, his 19th of the season.
