Double for Ronan Whelan and Michael Halford

Michael Halford recorded a quick double at the Curragh this evening when Sendmylovetoyou got up late to make a winning debut in the Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital Maiden.
The daughter of Invincible Spirit went to post a 25/1 shot in the six-furlong contest but prevailed near the line in a bunch finish.
Ronan Whelan, also grabbing a quick brace, got a good tune from his mount in the closing stages as she found another gear to record a half-length success over Healy's Double
The winner is a full-sister to Group 1 placed colt Emblazoned and is out of Group 2 winner Sendmylovetorose.
“We're delighted with her. She's a filly with a lovely pedigree. I'm delighted for Michael Enright, he owns the mare and bred this one. He's been very patient with her,” said Halford.
“We just had to wait for a bit of an ease in the ground with her. I thought she was ready to start and she came alive well when she got here.
“I think she'll make up into a smart filly and she'll improve plenty for the run. It's great to have a winning start with her and hopefully she'll go forward. She'd only been on the grass once.”
