Castle Guest recorded his fourth win of the season as he took the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap under Shane Foley for Mick Halford.
The four-year-old son of Rock Of Gibraltar won over the course and distance in July, and he since won twice at Gowran.
Sent off an 8/1 chance, the bay gelding made virtually all, and he was pushed along to assert over a furlong out, keeping on well from there to score comfortably by a length and three parts. Morga kept on well to take second under Rory Cleary for Jim Bolger at 14/1, while the 9/2 favourite, Pay Day Kitten was a further length and a half back in third under Pat Smullen for Dermot Weld.
Mick Halford said afterwards: "He is a smashing, straightforward horse. He liked the ease in the ground and I spaced out his runs.
"I had him entered in a hurdle at Naas last Monday but I said I’d keep him for this. He jumps well, we have done plenty of schooling with him and he will be a grand horse next year.
"He is owned by Paul Rooney from Castlewellan in Co Down, and he has been a great supporter of the yard."
