The going has eased ahead of day three of the Leopardstown Christmas meeting following 12mm of rain overnight at the south County Dublin track.

The €175,000 Savills Chase is the feature race this afternoon with A Plus Tard bidding to repeat his victory of 12 months against seven rivals and the ground on the chase course is currently described as yielding, good to yielding in places.

There is also Grade 1 action on the hurdle course with Klassical Dream and last year’s winner Flooring Porter among 11 runners in the three-mile €100,000 Dornan Engineering Christmas Hurdle.

The going on the hurdle/bumper course is now soft, yielding in places.

A maximum field of 28 go to post for the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle where the Mouse Morris-trained Gentlemansgame carries topweight, and the first on a seven-race card at Leopardstown is scheduled for mid-day.

Meanwhile the four-day Christmas Festival meeting continues at Limerick where the going remains heavy following 8mm of rain in the past 24 hours.

The Grade 2 BoyleSports Irish EBF Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase is the feature on a seven-race card beginning at 12.20pm, and Concertista looks sure to go off the odds-on favourite having already won at this level on her debut over fences at Cork earlier this month.

The €40,000 Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase is certainly a far more open affair with Longhouse Poet giving weight to all his rivals in a 15-runner affair.
