Facethepuckout burst between horses to lead a furlong from home and run out a cosy winner of the seven-furlong handicap at Naas for Michael O'Callaghan.
Leigh Roche held his mount up in the early stages before making smooth headway behind the leaders down the straight.
When the gap appeared the 7/1 shot came to take his chance and soon asserted, easing up at the line for a two-and-three-quarter length win over No More Porter
The winner was dropping back in trip having been fourth over nine furlongs at Galway last month.
O’Callaghan said:- “He’s been consistent all year, he’s been placed five times, and that’s his ground.
“The race just worked out for him as they have gone a real good gallop which he needs over seven. Leigh rode him for luck and it’s worked out.
“He’s a great asset to us as he leads all the work.
“This has been the plan since Galway (last month) and we’ll have a look to see if there is anything else for him.”
