Grangeclare Gold outbattles the field
Grangeclare Gold from the Dessie Hughes yard took the two mile three furlong handicap hurdle at Naas with a game performance from the front to reward her backers at 8/1.
Jockey Bryan Cooper took up the running at the half way point and repelled all challengers.
Winning trainer Hughes said: "She's doing well. She like the ground and trip and stays all day. She won a course and distance race here last year.
"That could be her last run as she may be covered now."
The handicapper could be pleased with his work as four lengths separated the first five home.
