Dermot Weld was in the winner’s enclosure this evening after landing the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap with 9/1 shot Rock Critic in the hands of Shane Gorey.

“Shane gave him a great ride, this horse is a bit of a character. Being drawn on the outside probably helped this fellow and he got his day and he just might have another day next week at Galway", said Weld afterwards.
