Good Thyne Tara landed the odds in good style when making all in the Pat Walsh Memorial Irish EBF Mares Hurdle at Gowran Park.
The Willie Mullins-trained mare was recording her sixth career win, and her third over hurdles this season.
Paul Townend elected to make every yard in this 2m2f Listed race, and the eight-year-old mare was in control when making a slight mistake at the last.
The 4/7 favourite kept on well on the run-in for a convincing four and a half lengths verdict over Make My Heart Fly with Awayinthewest the same distance further back in third.
Townend said, “She ran a cracker in the Galway Hurdle and the extra few furlongs suited her today. It was probably a bit sharp for her in Galway. She was still there at the last which she missed a bit and it probably cost her a place or two.
“It’s proper good ground and the jar is gone out of it.”
