Good Egg is well-named
Good Egg is a horse on an upward curve and he emphasised that point with a good display from the front under Ciaran Murphy in the John McCarthy Memorial Hunters Chase at Fairyhouse.
In the Duggan colours of Daisy which she and her father Peter have sported in the past, Murphy had Good Egg clear from before six out in this extended two mile six furlong event and though he had a slightly reduced advantage two out as No Notions tried his case, he asserted again from before the last on the way to a nine length success.
This was a popular local win as it was the first at Fairyhouse for Lady Jennifer “Chich” Fowler.
