Seven pounds claimer Jonathan Moore has enjoyed a fine run of form in recent times and kicked off 2016 with a winning ride on the Pat Fahy trained Good As Gold in the Your Clubs Fundraiser At Fairyhouse, Enquire Today Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse today.
Moore steered Ice Cold Soul to win at Leopardstown's high profile St Stephen's Day fixture before adding another festive winner on Fahy's Jazz Ranger on New Year's Eve and completed his hat-trick for the holiday period on Good As Gold today, which proved a half length too strong for Mick Thonic
Following the win trainer Fahy, who was registering his 10th winner of the campaign, stated “she did it well and in fairness she has run well on her last two starts in big handicaps.
“The 7lb claim was a great help and she got a brilliant ride.
“I'd love to go for a good mares race for some black-type; it's probably the wrong thing to do but we said coming here if she won we'd up her in class.
“The boys will keep her to breed so I'd like to get some black-type and she's improving with age.”
