Considering he's a course winner with a win to his name in his last three form figures, Golden Shoe was sent off at a generous 25/1 (paid 34.80 Euros on the Tote) for the Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk Handicap and he rewarded his backers at those tasty odds under Kevin Manning.
Following horses owned by Bill and Penny Foley, trained by Jim Gorman and ridden by Manning has been a rewarding pastime this year and this Footstepsinthesand gelding (that sire had the previous winner too in Victor's Beach got home by a neck from If Per Chance Lord Kenmare didn't get room inside the last and he can be considered a bit unlucky in finishing fourth. Well-backed favourite Mojito Royale could manage no better than fifth.
Kevin Manning said: "He stuck at it well. That's his level but it's nice to get another win." (AM & EM)
