Downpatrick is now Good to Yielding after 2mm of rain overnight and watering. Bright at present, turning overcast later with temperatures up to 18 degrees.
The action gets under way at 3.10pm with the Downpatrick Racecourse Family Day Hurdle. The bookmakers have priced this as a match between the Gordon Elliott pair of Ebasari (123-rated) and Douglas Dc who has been runner-up in his last two starts after getting off the mark over flights in Tramore.
They race on the Flat in Killarney from 5pm and the ground is Good. A dry day is expected with temperatures reaching 16-18 degrees. Watering continues on the National Hunt line with selective watering on the Flat line.
The feature is the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cairn Rouge Stakes at 6.40pm. Willie McCreery's Cigamia who was fourth in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot, heads the market for this contest. She is a former Killarney winner.
