Cork's eight race Flat card gets under way at 1.10pm and the ground is good following 2mm of rain overnight. Following some further rain this morning the ground is now Yielding as of 12pm.
There is the possibility of a shower but a mainly dry day is forecast.
Plenty of attention will be focused on Logo Hunter in the Midsummer Sprint Stakes at 2.20pm as he bids to continue his ascent through the sprinting ranks.
Michael Browne 's gelding is a shade of odds-on this morning, generally around 5/6, to notch his fourth win of the year.
The drop of rain will have been welcomed by Paddy Twomey who wouldn't have wanted the ground too quick for his filly Moll in the featured Munster Oaks at 3.30pm.
Unfortunately for the Golden handler, the Camelot filly is in season and has been scratched.
In her absence, Thunder Kiss and Mighty Blue are disputing favouritism at around 3/1.
