God Loves Chasing
The one investor left in the Jackpot for a pool of 6,848.00 Euro never really had a moments worry when 4/9 shot The God Of Love jumped brilliantly to score on his second chase start under Davy Russell for Philip Rothwell.
In front three out, the chestnut son of Stravinsky, owned by Gigginstown House Stud, soon had this seventeen furlong event wrapped up and he eventually beat The Sneezer in convincing fashion by six lengths.
Rothwell said: "He jumped better at Limerick than he did today. He idled a bit there because they were going half-speed. He slipped into the butt of one fence but he is smart. I think he is a better chaser than hurdler, he has more respect for fences. I feel he has a big day in him with a fast pace and good ground. He might go to Galway for the two mile novice chase but I'll talk to Michael about it tomorrow."
