Glibin gets it right
Glibin ended a series of runner-up efforts when making no mistake in the mares bumper at Downpatrick.
Barry O'Neill sent his mount to the front with three furlongs to run and she always had too much in hand for Court Lexi
The Colin Bowe-trained mare kept on strongly in the closing stages to record a four-and-a-half length victory.
The winner had been heavily supported from 6/4 this morning and was eventually sent off a 8/11 shot.
The Luso mare had finished second in three bumpers before today but made the break through in good fashion.
"She was due that. The horse she was second to at Bellewstown (Fleur De Nuit) went on to win a Flat race by 13 lengths," said Bowe.
"She'll go for a maiden hurdle on good ground. She stays well and might go two-and-a-half miles. After the maiden hurdle she'll have a break."
There was money for a couple of newcomers in the race, Well In (20/1 in morning into 12/1) and Could Be Anything (22/1 in morning into 10/1), but neither figured.
