Giorgio Vasari (a drifter from 5/2 out to 4/1) made all in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race under Wayne Lordan.
Once again wearing the blinkers that had first been applied when winning narrowly at Limerick, he was out smartly and Lordan let him gradually tack across to race on the rail.
He had all of his rivals in trouble from 2f out and galloped on to beat the keeping-on Charmed by two lengths. New Emerald Bay made a pleasing debut by staying on for third, but the 6/5 favourite Choice And Chance trailed home in ninth.
Aidan O’Brien’s winner, by Air Force Blue, is a half-brother to 2017 Phoenix Stakes winner Sioux Nation.
The winning rider said: "He’s done it well today. He rolled around a bit in the first-time blinkers in Limerick and felt like he could improve a good bit from that run. I think he did improve.
“He jumped and he travelled. He was very professional and gets six furlongs really well.
“I always felt the six was going to be an ideal trip for him, and I was able to control it a bit from the front. He put his head down and got to the line really well.”
